How much does it cost to list my kitchen on Zuby?

Nothing. Listing is free and stays free — Zuby takes no commission on any order, now or later. We make money from a separate, clearly-labelled promoted-placement rail, never by taking a cut of what you earn.

Do I need an FSSAI license to sell home-cooked food in India?

Yes. Any home food business with turnover under ₹12 lakh a year needs an FSSAI Basic Registration, which gives you a 14-digit number. Zuby asks for that number when you list and an admin checks it before you go live — it's also the single biggest thing that makes buyers trust a listing over an anonymous Instagram page.

How is Zuby different from posting on Instagram or a WhatsApp group?

Instagram and WhatsApp groups depend on people already knowing you exist. Zuby is searched by people who don't — by area, cuisine, and dietary need like halal, jain or jhatka — and every listing carries a verified badge those channels can't offer. Orders still land in your WhatsApp exactly as they do today.

How long does it take to get verified and go live?

Usually within a day. A person checks your FSSAI number, photos and details, and either approves you, asks for more information, or explains what's missing — you'll always know why if it's not immediate.

Does Zuby handle my orders, payments or delivery?

No. Every WhatsApp button opens a chat with you, not a checkout. You agree the order, the price and the delivery directly with the buyer, exactly as you do today — Zuby never touches the money.

I only run a rotating weekly tiffin menu, not a fixed menu — can I still list?

Yes — tiffin and thali services are one of the largest categories on Zuby. List your typical rotation, your headcount cutoff and your pricing per meal; buyers looking for a daily tiffin already expect a rotating menu rather than an à la carte one.
